LanDodo flying! Lucy drunk in pit late, first hits a mechanic, then the wall and stuffs both his and Bottas for Q3.
The first few laps could be very interesting, but as their qualy results were compromised (by their own hand) I predict Lewis & Bottas will soon be up front, if not leading. And Verstappen, as long as he doesn't crash into someone, will easily be in the top 10 by the first pit stop. Unless it rains! Though it would be nice to see Norris, Sainz and Russell get away for a while.
Not a very inspiring track IMO, although there are plenty of places to end the day badly for the drivers.
Bizarre - is this a normal practise session! Appears more like fun with dodgem cars than serious F1! And what was with the sparks from the front left -apparently started after brief contact with his own team mate who forced his way past. Some fun in car from Lance going sledding. That was towards the end of the race, not practice. About 5 laps from the end, the rain started lightly and only in one part of the track, as in the video, so drivers were torn between carrying on to the end at a slower speed or losing 20-30 seconds in a pit stop for intermediate tyres (and/or to replace a wing in Stroll's case). As it happened, a few minutes later it started p*ss*ng down, and the pit stop time was easily gained back on the wet track, and is why Hamilton won, and Norris came seventh. Norris was leading the race and chose to gamble on slicks, but the sudden downpour ended his day, unfortunately.Bizarre - is this a normal practise session! With the sparks and lack of traction, why wouldn't he pit and get things sorted - especially after parking it against the wall and then shunting another car out of the way ?
