SOLD - 1992 Peugeot 205 Si 5sp Man - No Rego - $450ono to Aussiefrogger
Having had a child, I've had to make the tough decision to let go of my beloved 205 Si. I've owned it since 1999, and have maintained it regularly.
I've just purchased a Renault Scenic, and the dealer has offered me a trade in for my 205 Si. I'd much rather it go to someone who could make use of it.
It runs well and was my regular driver until recently, but naturally it exhibits the tiredness of a 20 year old car. It would also make a good donor car if you've got a project GTi.
The details:
Make: Peugeot
Model: 205 Si
Year: 1992
Trans: 5sp Man
Kms: 240,000
Pros:
Motor runs well, and doesn't leak or burn oil (anymore than handbook specs)
Clutch replaced at 170,000 kms
Engine was rebuilt by Auto Paris at 200,000 kms.
Exhaust was replaced in 2011.
Battery replaced in 2012
Good interior (note the installation of the rear speakers :wink2: )
Intact dash, parcel shelf and glove box.
14 inch pepperpots with Yokohama C-Drives.
Cons:
As you can see the clear coat has burned off on the tailgate and bonnet.
both front guards have minor dents from people who hit my parked car.
The front left indicator lens is broken.
Whilst there's potential in the car, I don't have time or the space to do the work that's needed
(same old story, I had a kid and all my aspirations to "one day" fix up the car goes out the window).
As it is, I suspect the parts are worth more than the car as a whole.
I won't provide roadworthy as I don't have the time to do it.
**The price of the car is without registration.**
The car is currently registered until July 2014, but once sold, I'll take the plates. If you want the car with rego, I am open to an offer.
I have this advertised at $500 on Gumtree, but I'd rather it go to an Aussiefrogger.
PM me if interested.
