A few years back I replaced the clutch in my sister's subaru.
It started life with a dual mass flywheel, but subaru had itself deleted the dual mass set up, for a solid one.
I can't recall if that change had already been made or whether I made the change, but the car works just fine with a solid flywheel.
Aside from anything else the solid flywheel/clutch is quite a bit cheaper.
