Diag 2000 scanner

Hi folks.
Have been looking at the Lexia3, PP2000, diag 2000 scanner online and notice there are several different versions. I want it for my 2002 406 SV. Is there a preffered version?
Are Lexia3, PP2000 and Diag 2000 all different versions of the same thing or independent? I have a Windows 7 virtual machine installed on my laptop ready to go. Is that ok or does it have to be XP pro?

Check on Gum tree and FB Sydney there's someone selling a used unit, pretty sure he had a sw disc. Since you have a early vehicle any sw will be backwards compatible with your vehicle.

VM with windows 7 depending which version you're been provided.
