D6C engines

Nothing really. Much the same as a DKZ, thus not worth importing.

You mean D6B. They go well I have had one or two, but they are very prone to pinging, compression a little high for 98. L Jetronic doesn't have the control of Motronic and other later Management systems.

North American XU9J4 versions had Motronic with 4 channel injector control (the XU9J2 had 2 channel injector control in its Motronic) but only 9.5:1 CR.

D6B is the 8 valve version but D6C the XU9j4 is mentioned in the heading.

I did say from a "well rebuilt" engine. There's no issue fitting an XU10 into a 205. I have one in my race car. The weight difference is only 18Kg.
So 18kg weight penalty. That's nothing. I'd take the iron block with a proper rebuild any day. If you were really worried could you just relocate the battery? All this talk of rebuilt xu10's makes me want to invest in mine for the 306.
