clunking gear shifting

G'day,

My recently purchased, (2weeks ago) s2 205 with a reco'ed clutch is now causing me much concern...

Most times i attempt to move into reverse a terrible clunking/grating noise filters through as i struggle to get into gear.

The problem is worse as the car heats up over a drive

Additionally i find it difficult to get into first and second at times.

My question is this: i phoned the mechanic and he claimed being a reco-d clutch it would only take some adjustments and the problem would abate. He reassured me everything would be ok. I'm taking it in tomorrow.

Any advice on this issue?

I'd say your mechanic got it right; sounds like a clutch adjustment job to me.
He should do it in 5 minutes.
No need to panic.....just yet.
