Clio running on 2 or 3 cylinders ...

Closing update for this thread..

The car went back to the dealer for repairs and after a few days all is well now. :) :)

The dealer fitted new ECU and UCH control units, as well as all 4 coil packs, under warranty (and no whinging).
I am very happy with the way this incident was handled by the dealership and Renault Australia.

If you are reading this because you are researching to buy a new car, don't be put off by this rare incident. The Renault Clio is an excellent car, it is one of the safest in its class, as well as one of the best equipped and value for money. Has a powerful zippy engine and very good fuel economy. Looks good and runs well.
