The Citroën BX got a reputation in Sweden for many fires (the hood seem to melt very quickly).
Poor quality plastic pipes in the fuel system is one reason for numerous fires, also that BX is considered a inexpensive car so people don´t care
so much about them....

A major cause of the fires are breaks/splits in the fuel injection lines at the engine.
