Chips for Mi16 motor

Hi Cal
Re the Unichip for Mi16, who is the OZ agent(an email address would be good), is it programmable and how much?
Does it 'plug into the Bosch ECU', if one removes the standard chip?
And how is the cold air box coming along?

Cheers

Hi Don,

Here is a link to the Aussie distributor: http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/unichip/unichip.htm The chip is about $1200 fitted. You would have to buy the chip and then have a dyno tuner in NZ set it up. The chip should be about $900 and $300 to fit and tune on the dyno. It is a piggy back ECU. It does not replace the existing ECU. It allows for a fair degree of adjustment. Not as much as a full aftermarket ECU though. God for a few mods but not well suited to say a 200hp+ Mi16 motor. People I have spoken to who use them, swear by them.

The airbox is STILL not finished. To be honest, I have been more interested in the Toyota I bought for track use. The mods on the Pug will have to wait until I come back from O/S in August. I simply don't have the money to get both cars setup for the track at the moment.

How have you been going in events?

Cheers,

Cal.
