What colour are the window surrounds on a silver BX Estate? They are fairly faded but look like they may be dark gray. I suppose the best indication would be the colour in the door jams where they dont get the full effects of the sun. A colour code would be most appreciated.

Cheers

If you're talking about the outer door frame around the windows and down to the top edge on the sills, they're supposed to be a satin black.
You can redo them in "bumper black" which is about $50 a litre or give them a hit with self etching primer followed up with a coat of "R.F.U." (ready for use) which is a satin black industrial paint and the one used as a "trick of the trade". (and costs about $15 a litre)
BTW, it's a fun job masking and preparing, in fact budget on a day to do it right.

How do I know all this?? You really don't want to know!!
