at least it'll still work when the battery craps itself. so if it doesn't torch itself, it'll have a useful lifespan by pretending the electric motor isnt' there ie: forgetting the battery part, it will have a resale value into the future as it still actually works as a car!

Yikes! I see Renault are responding to current trends and at least in the UK you can buy a PETROL version of the New CLIO! and cheaper than the alternatives..
