AL4 Neutral Switch - Wiring

Hi - First post - please be gentle!! Not a mechanic by trade at all and just tinker to keep my kids' cars on the road.
I am in the middle of replacing the Neutral Switch on my sons Pug 307 (2004).
We had the gearbox rebuilt by a Pug specialist 2 years ago, so presuming solenoids are not issue as replaced.
Car goes in reverse fine but in D - feels like slipping. If it was a manual, I would say the clutch.
Anyway - about to order a new Neutral Switch as suggested in one of the forums on here.
When extracting the old one I noticed that there was no connection to the two-prong connector circled below.
Where should this connect too? Can't find a picture or diagram to show mw this and the only YouTube video does not cover this.
Any advice greatly received or suggestions.

They are not connected to anything on the car.
They are used to align the selector in the cabin with that position selector switch. When the cabin selector is set to 'N', there is electrical continuity between those two contacts when the switch is adjusted correctly. I.E. use a multimeter to check for continuity in 'N'.
Although, it does take some finagling to get it right!
Problems with that switch typically manifest themselves as a flashing position indicator on the dash. If the indicator on the dash "repeats" what is selected by the gear selector then it's unlikely there is a problem with the position switch.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet. The main pressure regulating solenoid does a lot of work.
I would check alignment of the manual valve.
Anything else is going to require access to diagnostic equipment.
