I know it sounds crazy, but what condition is the battery in? A failing battery in a modern car can be the cause of a number of issues that appear where systems rely on consistent suitable power feed.
Cruise dropping out is a very common performance 'downgrade' when some other issue has arisen.
Read the fault log, but starting with a battery load test is always a good idea. It has to be OK.
You can find problems with the 1.6lt turbo engine in something like the fuel pump or turbo wastegate under load even if OK under normal driving. Check the pivot of turbo wastegate is not worn.

Break pedal switch adjustment? Just a thought.
