Hi Guys. My beloved 504 (petrol) intermittently does not start, always in the worst places. There is a faint smell of petrol though the carby is not flooding. I suspect it is the automatic choke. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Dunno, but I used to love using the manual choke in my 504....so simple and you could pull it on exactly as much as you wished, plus it had a light on the dash so you couldn't forget it was on.
Do you know for a fact that it isn't flooding?
