Morning all, am posting this in the hope that what happened is due to an issue other than that which is apparent.
Was maneuvering the car at low speed in a fairly tight parking lot when another car caused a very rapid adjustment to my intended path. Speed was about 10kph. The rapid steering wheel wrench avoided a possible coming together and also resulted in the ABS warning light being activated. A friendly and trusted mechanic used his code reader which showed that the left front and right rear sensors were now faulty.
I readily accept that sensors do fail from time to time, but 2 failing in the same instant seems to be somewhat unusual. Perhaps an electronics guru with far more understanding of them than me is aware of a different reason for those failures before the sensors are changed without curing the fault. Thanks
