Looking to purchase a 406. Would prefer reasonably low mileage vehicle. Prefer Auto.
Hoping to purchase prior to Christmas. Does anyone have one for sale in Victoria ?

I'd check out some online classifieds like:

<a href="http://www.carsales.com.au/used" target="_blank">CarSales</a>
<a href="http://www.autotrader.com.au" target="_blank">Auto Trader (searches all the trading posts)</a>
<a href="http://www.drive.com.au" target="_blank">Drive (The Age)</a>

I've seen quite a few cheap 406s for sale, most early model 2L autos. Keep in mind these cars are VERY slow and the auto its self isn't meant to be great. If you must have an auto though, I'd imagine with the 3L V6 they would go pretty well :D

There are two advertised in the current edition of "the Land" rural newspaper:

Late 96 manual, alloys sunroof 110,000kms described as "sadly neglected" but at $14,900 negotiable. 0415 627 665

The other no price 406 ST HDI manual low k's
02 6376 4634

Hope that helps. cheers!

i'd nearly swap our GTi-6 for a 98 406 SV manual
the extra room would be very handy
2 kids (another one on the way) plus luggage doesn't quite fit into the little girl
for some reason kids seem to take up more room than the 6ft fish tank i had to fit into the car once and still could close the rear hatch and have a passenger in the back seat :D
both cars see mto be bringing around the $24-26k mark in the trading post ATM
