406 trip meter/computer

The K’s on my trip meter on the dash don’t read the same as on the computer read out.

I just reset it
It reads 22.1 on the dash
But 26 on the trip computer and seems to get more out of wack the further I go

Before reset it was
185k on the dash but 226 on the trip computer. ??
Why would this be ?
They are OE wheels 15’s.


Got me stumped.

I think I’m closer on the computer read out than the dash read out.
Also wondering if it affects the main odometer ?
