Ok, I've gather up the bits and pieces to seal up cam seals and replace the timing belt.
Reading through the manual, there is a tool mentioned for getting the correct tension on the timing belt. It looks expensive!
There seems to be cheapy versions which measure tension by deflecting the belt with a spring loaded plunger - but I am thinking a small spring scale pulled at 90 degrees would be more sensitive (although some high school trigonometry would be required ).
Or could I just do it up "tight but not too tight"?
