I was wondering if anyone knows if it is posible to cut an inch or so of the handbrake cable to take up some slack.

Easier to get cables made up, I'd say...

Though there is another way. The slack can be taken up by moving the mounting for the outer cable further from the joint in the cables. Just drill a pair of holes through the floor and put some 8mm bolts through.

Would that mean move them further forward, good idea if it works . The actual cable would still be the same length I'll give it a try tomorrow What is a good shock absorber to use on the rear end of the 404 sedan, not a lot of dosh available. regards, cane toad.

The LIP shockers sold by European Auto Imports are excellent.
