205 problem Help!

Hi guys

Have a small problem with my 205gti yesterday. When I turned the ignition off and pulled the key out the battery and Stop lights were on in the dash. Had a look around the engine bay but to no avail.

As a consequence my battery is now dead flat. Has anybody seen this and offer a remedy?

It could be the key barrel for the key.

do you mean ignition switch perhaps?
i had my key get stuck once in the acc position...what a pain in the @ss!

Turned out to be the Alternator drawing power from the battery
