I will regret this sale but I need cash and the cars gone**) I have on offer for $2,500 a S1 1987 Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi (180,000kms) and a 1992 Peugeot 205 Si donor car that itself is good enough to be driven. The 1987 205 GTi has been my pride and joy for 3 years. Over the time I have owned this piece of driving history, thousands has been spent. The following work has been completed on the 1987 205 GTi by Peugeot Specialists Charles Street Autos (receipts and log available)
• All new suspension and shocks (handles as new)
• A full rear beam rebuild (GTi enthusiasts will understand the importance)
• All mounts for engine and gearbox redone (critical work for a car of its age)
I personally have fitted;
• New Battery
• New Alternator
• New oil breather hoses (critical work for a car of this age)
• As new wiper arms from donor car
• As new parcel shelf from donor car
• Auto bonnet from donor car (very sought after)
Body work is 100% dry and 100% straight, no leaks or rust, rear seats are in amazing condition, steering wheel is in great condition as is the gear knob... and as stated above, a huge amount of work has been done to the car to ensure its long life.
The GTi is fitted with aftermarket rims that allow for 15’ Bridgestone Potenza tires which handle great. But I also have hidden away in the shed 4 amazing mint condition ‘pepper pot’ original alloys that have not seen the light of day for a very long time… they are pristine, must been seen to be believed!
The 1992 205 Si donor car was purchased in 2012. The intention was to use the parts to complete the final aesthetic restoration of the 1987 205 GTi but time has got away. The 1992 205 Si donor car has great paint work, perfect seats, a great gearbox plus it runs. It has many other redeeming features I am happy to chat with you about.
