Good morning to the brains trust. What should I be looking for ? Brand type etc
Both our C4s are getting on and Im expecting to have to replace sensors in the not too distant future.

See this thread---

It comes down to how much do you want to spend. Codes only, $60ish. A couple of hundred gets the PSA specialised Icarsoft (see suggested thread). Or a general browse in https://obd2australia.com.au may find what you want.

The above gadgets can read any car. For Citroens and Peugeots only the ultimate is to get a copy of PSA's Diagbox software and install it on a virtual machine.

The cheap $30-odd scanners are OBDII and EOBD compliant. Meaning they will read most of the engine codes and give you some good engine data. So if you get an "engine light" these scanners will help you diagnose the problem. They can also be used to read data from the engine to see if it's running correctly.
I have found that they are based on the same hardware and software and so are all virtually the same.
HOWEVER, they will NOT scan ANY of the other modules like the ABS, BSI, radio, etc. For that you will need one of the more exotic solutions, like those pointed out by Seasink.
