There is a Renault 5 enthusiasts' web site in the UK (& no, I don't know the URL); I'd be astonished if they couldn't help.

Incidentally, I have just had twin 40 DCOEs dyno set up on my internally unmodified A5 engined 4CV (64.8 KW at the wheels); so if you are considering Webers on your engine & you'd like the numbers of the jets, tubes & so on, then pm me & they should be a close approximation of what you'd want. cheers! peter

    cheers! Peter

I wouldn't mind a copy of the jetting please.
May prove useful for mine if I ever get the twin inlet manifold sorted.

    Default R5 a/g !!!

    Hi Pete,
Have spoken to Andrew at R5gordini already, he is looking for me.

The Alpine I am building is a bit modified inside, cam, high comp pistons, and 77mm, with porting and magic valve angles. So thanks.

Aussie Frog Brian has come to my initial help with a Haynes unit, so we can just wait.

    Thanks,
    Ray geckoeng

Sorry about the delay, I had lent a crucial bit of paper & had to retrieve it. As bought, I ordered R8G 1300 bits as listed in a file on Katrina's Renault Page (not sure if that is still up). These were:

    Main Jet 120-125
    Air compensation 200-220
    Idle jet 45
    Emulsion tube 45 F8
    Choke tube 32

    Additional R8G info gave:
    Needle valve 150
    Float 23
    Float level 5/11.5 mm.

I ended up with some changes:

    Main jet 135
    Air compensation 220
    Idle jet 50 F6
    Emulsion tube F7
    Choke tube 40

Hope that helps shorten dyno time. Peter

    Thanks for that.
Are you sure it was 40 chokes in that last one - didn't you say these for for 40DCOE's; or are what I'm thinking of not the choke tubes?
