    Default Aluminium fabricator needed, Brisbane.

I'm looking for a good fabricator to make up a custom inlet manifold for my 504 turbo. There are a fair few space constraints etc. if they were mobile it would help. Thinking of getting a UK based business to do it but it may be tricky for them without the car.

Anyway, if anybody knows someone please let me know.

I think you'll find that the specialised equipment required for machining, bending and welding aluminium do not lend themselves to being mobile. I have never heard of such a service.

I can recommend an excellent performance automotive aluminium fabricator in Adelaide, he does lots of work for people all over the country. If you give him the dimensions, he can make it to absolutely top quality.

That would be great if you could, thanks.

I'm currently trying to get a hold of Bogg Brothers in the UK, though UK prices plus shipping might make it prohibitive.

Yes please, I'm still working out how I'm going to attach the VNT turbo I've got to the XD3T.

Talked to the local 'performance' ******s that usually do Skylines etc.

One declined from taking the job, the other wouldn't give an estimate but when pushed, admitted that they'd charge over $1500. Nothing unusual there.

Leroy is a champ. His work is top notch.

I'd have no idea about cost, but aluminium fabrication is expensive at the best of times, it's time-consuming, difficult and the materials are expensive.

    Toby, what's your VNT from?

The VNT is from a citroen going by part nos. I can't remember exactly what it is but I'm pretty sure it's a GT1749V.

I was planning on mig tacking an aluminium inlet manifold together and then getting someone to tig it.
