    Default Peugeot 607 V6 Petrol 2006 model

    Hi,
My wife has just purchased a 607 3 Litre 2006 model. Lovely car, except very different to my wheels.
The car was from my next door neighbour who was 81 years old who purchased it new in June 2006. The car has only travelled 55,000Klm in the last 5 years and the condition is like new. The car has been over serviced due to the low Klms versus the time frame.
As with all my cars I change all fluids and filters even if not required. Before I changed the oil and filter, I did notice that there was a some hydraulic rummble from engine oil drain back if left overnight. As we know this can be from a leaking anti drain back valve in the oil filter. After replacing the oil with (Mobil 1 5W30) and filter the problem is still there.
Has anyone come across this problem with the 3 Litre motor.

    Regards
    Harvey

    Hi
Overnight the oil drains back from the hydraulic tappets, it is not too bad it only lasts for half a second. Iam wondering if the oil is too low in viscosity? 5W 30 oil is like water.
