    Default Torsion Bar upgrade?

    Hi Guys,
I'm just looking for some feedback to see if a new set of Rear Torsion bars would be a benefit or over-doing it.
In conjunction with Firmer suspension (koni Sports, Installed) and lowered (30mm, about to be installed) springs, and also looking at stiffer sway bars (next upgrade). Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Do they still use torsion bars??? I was thinking 1930's -> 1950's model cars when I read torsion bars .... just like the old Traction Avant

Ignore those blokes. Yes, it's a very cost effective upgrade. I'll PM you the how to details.

You can also use the bigger t/bars & sway bars from the GTi6 & VTS Cit. Probably cheaper than custom.

    Default Konis

How do you find the Komi sports ?
I was thinking of going for the reds as the style 1.8 16v has a lighter motor.

At 200,000km the rear shocks are gone but the fronts are still reasonable.
The torsion bars are a little sad now and the rear is a bit droopy ?

Does anybody know if the xsi rallye gti6 have the same setup ?

They are a nice shock and you can recondition them, but you have to drop the suspension out of the car to adjust the settings. I don't have the facilities to do this type of work, so if your unhappy about the setting, bad luck, until you can get it done.

Here's a guy over in the UK selling torsion/anti roll bars in any size you want.

Perhaps get a group buy happening to save on shipping costs
