    Default mi16 crank

    Hi guys,

Is it normal to have this chunk missing out of the crank? For balancing or something????

    Thanks,

    Dave

Possibly balancing, maybe to set up crank for key cutting in the shaft. I hope you are sending the whole assembly off to be balanced anyway. Cheap performance mod when you already have it pulled down.

    Dave,

I've got 2 cranks here both the same as yours.

alan might be correct in that it positions the crank in a jig for further machining.
