I'm no expert by a long shot, I just had the sway bar link rod replaced on my 205 recently. Prior to this it was very loose when it was cold and had a knocking sound. It is a whole lot better now. The mechanics replaced the top strut bushes as well. Hope that helps!

Id start with the basics, such as ball joints, steering & control arms, get each front wheel of the ground and see if it wobbles vertically or horizontally (with the streering locked) If you have play it would be worth getting a pro to look at it. - Chris

Not that it is quite the front end, but upper and lower engine mounts break on these cars from time to time.

Check your front sway bar rubbers as well, that and the engine mounts as suggested.

Did you change the front springs when you replaced the shockers?
