Default What size is a 505 cylinder head bolt ?

    Hi dudes,
Can someone please tell me the thread size for 505 series 1 cylinder head bolts ? I've forgotten.

Can't find my tap, and some people shudder at the thought of running a tap down into the block threads anyway.

So I'm going to create a chaser by buying a bolt and cutting slots in it with my angle grinder. Four slots ? And what to do about the slight burring ? Take it off with a hacksaw blade ?

Mark, I also can't remember the thread size off the top of my head, but I have thread gauges and a fairly comprehensive set of taps. Perhaps you should come around and grab the right tool for the job?

Thanks, dude. May just do that if no-one else knows, but the bolt shop is only 3 mins away, and you're 30 mins !

The numbers 12 X 1.5 spring to mind, but....

Never needed to do a headectomy on my Douvrin 505, but, FWIW, I'm sure the 504's XN2 head bolts were 12x1.5mm

    Have fun,

    Rob.
