    Default 403 electrical issue.

Hey guys. The 403 has developed a big electrical short somewhere, at first it would still run and everything worked as normal, the battery just went flat super quick.

The next time I tried it nothing worked at all, you just get big sparks when you connect the battery.

I have no idea where to even start, any ideas AF?

First disconnect any wires off the battery/ main solenoid terminal which look non standard

Next is to disconnect the voltage regulator heavy wire which heads to the ammeter.

After that disconnect the smaller ring terminal on the starter motor main feed terminal.

One of these should stop the short.

PS You have checked the main battery feed to the starter solenoid is not shorted to ground somewhere? Often a lug touching ground.

You might not believe this but there are no non standard wires from the terminals!!
