In the tradition of Jo Proffi's gig guide, here is one I am playing in.
For those that don't know, I play and help maintain theatre organs - you know the old things that used to come up out of the stage in theatres to accompany silent movies etc. I am also heavily involved in the Theatre Organ Society of Australia (NSW Div) and we own three theatre organs in Sydney - two Wurlitzers and one Christie.
For more information about the society with the now unfortunate acronym TOSA (that's pronounced toazer not the alternate...) please see this link, but not before reading about the show.

Christie Organ Fund Raiser Musicians
Craig Keller (aka UFO)
These musicians are busy preparing for the performance and are donating their time towards raising funds for the Christie Organ Project.
The restoration of the Christie Organ is progressing well with all regulators re leathered, swell motors being re leathered,
various chests having their motors re leathered along with the motors for the piston action on the console.
The flooring for the chambers has been laid together with access to the chambers.
Donations to date have reached $ 2839.70 for which TOSA is most grateful to those donors.
The budgeted cost of restoration, structural building, installation, tuning and regulating of the Christie is currently $80,000.
Whilst TOSA have funds to enable the project to progress, more donations are essential to ensure the
project can be finished within the time frame allotted. TOSA currently needs TOSA NSW would appreciate your support!

I hope to see some AFers at Marrickville on the day!
