Now this has to be the Renault TECH heads idea of a joke, it's so geeky it's cool...
To celebrate its 2005 Formula 1 constructors’ championship, Renault team engineers slapped a RS25 V10 on a dynamometer and programmed the engine management software to play Queen’s “We Are the Champions,” using the tones of different RPMs. Auto blogger Paul Tan posted the MP3 on his site PaulTan.org. We once tried a similar trick with our old Rupp minibike, but blew a rod on the vocal break of “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The poor Briggs and Stratton four stroke gave up somewhere around “Gali-le-oh.”
Different RPMs produce different engine tones. Listen to the RS25 V10 engine’s rendition of Queen’s We Are The Champions.
