Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............
But a better future perhaps?https://www.essentiallysports.com/re...icciardo-2019/
The Renault Sport F1 Team have officially confirmed that Red Bull’s outgoing driver Daniel Ricciardo will join them in 2019. Ricciardo will partner current driver Nico Hülkenberg, leaving the other driver, Carlos Sainz Jr weighing his own options.
The 29-year old will join the French manufacturer on a two-year deal. In his entire F1 career so far, Ricciardo has seven Grands Prix wins under his belt. He even has 29 podiums to his name. The driver, hailing from Perth is a familiar face in the Renault family. This is because he has driven in Renault junior series between 2007 and 2011 and has been powered by Renault engines in F1 since 2014.
Jérôme Stoll, President:
“Renault decided to come back to Formula One to fight for World Championships. Signing Daniel Ricciardo is a unique opportunity for the Groupe Renault towards this objective that could not be missed. We welcome Daniel’s arrival to our team, still in the making, but more motivated than ever.”

It is time to talk "Conspiracy Theory" ......
Helmut Marko when he has a liking for a driver they get all the attention of the team, he did it with Sebastian and he is doing it again with Max. When Daniel was getting the better of Seb he was very angry and would give the mechanics a lot of grief, because this upstart Australian was getting the better of his "blue eyed" boy. He had done it when Mark was giving Seb a bad time.
Marko was very unhappy when Daniel told Christian that he was going to Renault. No body knew before he told Christian, not even his Dad. And now since he has told Red Bull he is leaving his troubles have become 10 fold. And Max is having a fantastic end to the season. Two cars cannot be that different, with "Professional" mechanics working on them. So where does the problem lie............
Think Old, But Run Modern !!
I have had similar thoughts.
We have run 19 GP's so far, in the first 10, Max had 2 DNF's and Daniel had 3 DNF's. In the last 9 rounds Max has had one DNF, but Daniel has had 5 DNF's. If Marko isn't orchestrating in the background he should start sacking the crew on Daniels side of the garage.
Edit:- Since the announcement that Daniel was leaving red Bull, of the seven rounds he has had 4 DNF's. Make your own conclusions.
