An amazing weekend at the Wakefield 300. 2nd outright and 1st in Class B. The little 205gti ran faultlessly for 137 hard laps in 33c heat. The weekend was spent chasing niggling problems, with Friday finding a loose sway bar, Saturday losing a rear brake pad down the main straight. But come Sunday, the car was on song. Big thank you goes out to the team that made it all happen and the fantastic 90 lap stint of Matt Thewlis. Commiserations go out to Peter Taylor and John Taylor in the 2nd 205gti that had a catastrophic engine failure early in the race.
Car 144 was only beaten by a EVO9 and in 3rd was a BMW 1M. Check out the field it was against in the pictures attached!
