403 owners whose cars were originally distributed by York Motors in NSW will be familiar with the red I.D. plate attached to the firewall. Many years ago a PCCNSW Club member worked for York Motors and was able to track down the handwritten stock books which recorded the plate numbers and details of the car such as body and engine numbers, brand of tyre fitted, colour of paint and trim, date of delivery and name of the purchaser. He kindly photocopied the page that had my car on it, number 1359. The page starts at number 1344 and finishes at 1359. If any reader happens to own a car in this range I will be happy to send you a copy. It's a nice addition to the documented history of your car.
