Today's Brisbane Sunday Mail, has a good review of the Megane Sedan. Is a rare thing to see a positive article on a French car, instead of all the Japanese/Asian  imports these days. Breath of very refreshing air. Viv'la France :renplak:  :headbang:

Are you serious, you don't seem to read very widely then :). The Megane II has received fairly positive press coverage downunder.

Clio - how many great reviews has it received downunder? The standard variants get better reviews here than overseas! Hey, if we believe Wheels, the standard 1.6 Privilege luxo variant is a better hot hatch than the 206 GTi

Laguna - pretty positive reviews. Did quite well in a Wheels comparo of about 10 cars. Newspaper reviews have been fairly positive. Probably the worst thing about it in the press were in regards to quality niggles, and that wasn't in regards to all cars.

Scenic - average, but then, it's old now. Ditto for the Megane Cabrio on sale. The coverage here is no worse than back home in Europe for these two models - they're old and have already been replaced overseas.

In general, Renault has had some pretty friendly treatment by the press. You certainly can't blame its sales woes on press coverage.

Well the clio rs got a 5 star rating in WHEELS mag against the cooper s, Pretty good and fair article as well!
