The Xsara WRC model has now been superceded by the Ford Escort [Saintz?]

The model series is by DeAgostini. Available at most newsagents.
So far these models have been Peugeot 206. Subaru Impreza. Citroen Xsara.

Speaking off topic did anyone see Loeb and the WRC Xsara on fire in Cyprus?

I think Daniel meant "Loeb's Xsara was on fire" referred to his stunning drive?
As in "gees did you see Loeby? He was on fire". That's right Daniel eh? eh?

No sorry when i reviewed my information i think it was Duval....

Unfortunately that is McRae's Xsara in the magazine.

Then again, didn't his Xsara catch fire in one of the rallies a couple of year back?

Troy.

Hey,

I saw the footage for that on the weekend really amazing how quickly the fire engulfed the whole car!

What happened, it looked like he tried to restart it after the crash and flames just started to billow out of the engine bay- good to see that everyone was safe after that!

There was a lot of tinder dry undergrowth underneath the car. When car caught fire it also set the undergrowth ablaze and from there fire easily got out of control.

Troy.

This leads to my next question.
What is it with French cars and them catching fire?
citroens
306
206
What is the main issue, why does it happen?

The WRC cars are totally different and we can't compare them to what we drive. Ours have a an auto fuel cut-off system which is triggered during a collision. It's in our manuals- see the red button.
