Xsara door alignment problem

Hi Guys,
a few weeks ago my father noticed that the drivers door on the Xsara has begun rubbing on the front guard.

Over the last few weeks the door seems to have lifted and now when I go to shut it, it almost has to pull downward in order to lock into the catch.

This is quite strange, does anyone have any ideas? The car has never been in any kind of ding, so it's quite strange.

Perhaps the latch has gone out of alignment?

My VTR had the passenger out of alignment to the point it had to be shut hard to get it to close properly. I got the dealer to realign the door when I had it service. However, the car was like this from the get go, it didn't just happen out of nowhere.

Maybe, however given that it is rubbing on the guard it suggest that it's an issue with the hinge or something like that maybe?
