M-Sport have confirmed that Craig Breen will not continue with the team in 2023 even though he had a contract for next year. Breen only scored enough points for 7th place on the WRC title. Breen had 5 DNF in the latter half of the season.
Ott Tanak's premature departure from Hyundai left a driver vacancy, Hyundai have announced that Esapekka Lappi will driver for Hyundai next year with Neuville. Craig Breen and Sordo will drive alternative rounds. Lappi was driving for Toyota this year, but did not compete all the rounds. Hyundai will give him the opportunity to do the full season.
Teemu Sunninen will also join Hyundai, but it appears he will not have a car to drive or unless Breen fails.
No news on Tanak as yet. Ford is the only team with a vacancy that I can see.
Toyota have stated they will stick with their current drivers.
