Sounds like a typo to me Alan ....maybe Renault and Rover are close on the drop down list in Tassie. (6 fingered typing comments are invited at this point) cheers!

I based the Triumph theory on a few factors;
it uses some code like "ser 2" (that's the one with the chrome grille surround and black grille bars) PI which from memory stood for Petrol Injection, and of course the colour "Orange." They looked nice in that "Desert Gold" I think it was called, but why! why! why! did they paint about 95% of the bloody things that colour eek! :confused: mallet mallet
I still reckon it's worth someone checking it out because Fowles also advertised a car as an '01 model and 1.5 litres when in fact it was a 1988 series one BX 16 Valve, personal import & the only one possibly in Oz. How do I know? 'coz we bought it dance
May just be something worth having.

Alan S cheers!

[QB] PI which from memory stood for Petrol Injection, [QB]
Although petrol rejection was a more accurate description. A friend's mum had five of the darn things, 2500S's 2500TC's and a 2500PI. The PI didn't like starting when it was hot, cold, damp, dry......you get the point, but I digress from the topic....
