Wanted: blown up BX auto box.

In an attempt to get ourselves a bit more conversant with the dreaded BX auto boxes, we're looking for one that's a scrapper.
We'll be honest; if you expect getting paid for it, don't waste your time, but if it's stuffed and bound for the scrapheap, we'll pay for the freight to get hold of it for (as the Japs would say) "medical research" into what goes wrong, why and if they can be fixed with a minimum amount of trauma.

You may have spoken in good time. Got a call from a work colleague today who has spent considerable money last year maintaining a BX Tri auto and this week the box goes BLAT. The work done was not gearbox related.

It is at a workshop here in Wollongong and she may not be willing to spend the $$ to repair it. It may be on the market soon and I will keep you informed. Engine still goes etc just not getting power to the ground
