I would think that a rebuild would not be that expensive after all its only a Borgwarner 35. If you are going down the road removing
transmission it seems false economy. Rebuild kits on Ebay

It came out of a working car where the owner did not want to get it through rego as it had rust in it and he was not prepared to fix it so he took it apart and I bought the gearbox as a back up for my DS23 Auto but we are now going to convert it to a BVH later this year so this is now spare.
I have put it on a pallet and can ship it, just have to work out how much it will cost to send it down.
