Great cars, too bad Peugeot was TOO CHEAP to buy one of these to display in their museum a few years back when one came up for auction....

It's arguably the best Peugeot ever, and certainly one of the most influential.

Besides DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, these cars had hemi heads with spark plug at top centre, desmodromic valves (thanks to the crap valve spring metallurgy of the day, the comparitively high peak of 2600 rpm being so strenuous and all), dry sump lubrication, front brakes (unheard of), Rudge wire wheels (unheard of on a GP car when the L76 was introduced in 1912.

Come on Peugeot, BUY ONE!
