Not a new problem with euro cars. Look at old 505s, any that have done any towing have generally cracked under the rear wheel arches.
Simple answer is no. Of course, if you can find an engineer to sign off on a capacity upgrade, you can do anything, but I hate to think of what would be involved in that.
