This is a Renault EF-Type Formula 1 engine listed as being from 1985/1986, interestingly it remains with its original crate and it was never used for

Mmmmmm????? Renault, Reliant both have 7 letters, start with R and end with T, probably bolt straiģht in.

I find it suspicious they say it was turned over every now and then to make sure it did not seize. With F1 engines I thought they had to have hot fluids circulated by external pumps before they could be cranked so if that is true, it must have been quite an exercise to turn the engine over for so many years.

Either way. Seems it's only good for a few laps.
