Here's a nice bit of entertainment from 1963 Le Mans 24Hour


Motorsport: Italians Ludovico SCARFIOTTI and Lorenzo BANDINI (FERRARI) win the 24 hours of Le Mans. - VG plunging on the spectators in front of the circuit stands - Horizontal pan on mechanics putting the finishing touches on cars in front of the René BONNET stand - Various shots of car n ° 41, driven by Gérard LAUREAU, champion of the team René BONNET, recognizing course - CloseUp of hand operating gearshift lever - Various CloseUp of hands holding steering wheel as car is at full speed - VG of start of race - Various passages of competitors - Various shots of damaged cars, stopped (one of them burns) - 2 night runs - VG of the finish - Various shots of the winners, the Italians SCARFIOTTI and BANDINI on Ferrari. - MS of some cameramen and photographers (we recognize Claude BECOGNEE).
 
interesting to see how, the in car footage was shot ,must have been fixed movie cameras ender dash and on the rear engine cover ,not much room there for a camera man ,possibly a Bolex clockwork movie camera ,great footage !
 
Them was the good ol'days, no pace cars, people wandering on the track, rejoining the race after an incident causing another incident, even the the chequered flag man out in mortal danger.
