Just drove to Sydney and back to QLD.
Noticed a suspension creak and the driver's side time we hit potholes or crossed one of those traffic calming mounds.
When I popped the bonnet and looked at the drivers side suspension, I found this:

Any thoughts on what I need to do to fix this?

Replace the front suspension cylinder. The orange rubber bit has never been separately available from Citroen. It is made by KYB and I don't think they list it separately either. Same issue with C6. With non-genuine items apparently appearing recently, that part could turn out to be separately available aftermarket. The plate that retains the rubber bit from the bottom is retained by a snap ring, so it is possible to remove it. You could possibly salvage a good used rubber piece from a leaky strut that has been replaced.

Haven't been able to find the suggested bits. Any thoughts on where I could source them?

The Polish firm, Kamoka, do all sorts of rubbery stuff. Do they make this for the C5 strut?

I did salvage a few but passed them along to the potentially needy!
Maybe, e-mail KYB as the original manufacturer? Or ask the eBay vendors of the aftermarket items if the suppliers can offer the rubbery bit separately. Even if they can supply them, there might be a long delay so the pragmatic solution is either good used or a new complete strut. You could ask EAI about price and availability.

Is this the same strut on AliExpress with the foam piece that comes complete with strut

Looks average build quality not going to last 5 years

I just found this on AliExpress:
AU$197.85 | 5208J4 Hydraulic Shock Absorber For Citroen C5 III RD RW C6 TD 2.0 2.2 HDi- 1.6 THP 155 1.8 16V 2.2 HDi 200 2.0 16V BioFlex

That's seems to be a find Dimi but pity about the shipping cost.

Cheers, Ken

With the horrendously increasing price of shipping these days it'll soon be cheaper to fly to China and pick up the parts in person.
