Hello,

Does anyone know the dimensions of the sump plug seal for a Peugeot 306 XT 2000?

It looks like Repco might have them but I'm not sure which one I need.

Thank you
Mic

I'm pretty sure it's OD 20mm, ID 14mm, thickness 2mm. This is for the crush washer, which obviously squashes down.

Ring EAI at Thornleigh 9481 8400. They carry them. Might even measure one for you. I always get one with the Purflux filter.

Thanks guys.

I always buy them at the same time I buy the filters too, but lost this one.

Anneal the old one over the gas stove.

Will that make the crush part magically pop out again?

Mishio, the LS923 is the extended service interval version I think, but otherwise the filters are the same. So you'll find the LS867B specified for models made before those long service intervals came in but both are fine if you change your oil as recommended for the 306. I'm guessing the filter media is different; probably some kind of polymer as opposed to paper.

Here goes …! (Come in pugrambo)

To my knowledge the copper sump plug washer on my 504Ti has only ever been replaced TWICE!
I have owned the car since new. (Yes I do change the oil).
I have annealed
the washer a couple of times though.
(Heat washer up to dull red and immediately quench in cold water. Can be heated up on electric stove hot plate). :)

no, it turns it into a soft flat washer, which is perfectly adequate.

Yeah nah

Brilliant.

But sad to think of all those perfectly useful washers I've thrown away over the years...

I've never replaced a copper washer on any of my Peugeots, and there have been quite a few and I do check for dripping oil after an oil change.

Tell that to all the people who needed to replace sumps on Rhr diesels and tu5s pretty sure my knowledge on cars is greater than yours.

I've replaced the washer EVERY oil change. Following the Pug Service Workshop Manual. Even Haynes tells ya to do it. Same one for manual transmission fluid change. The washers have changed over the years. I buy a bakers' dozen from the Net.
