The tacho on my Fuego has freezed at 2200 revs
Does anyone know whats up with it?
Module connections seem to be fine. Lately it was refusing to go over 3000 rpm and today it just froze...
Any suggestions?

Most likely cause is that the needle has warped slightly allowing it to contact the face of the dial. Although some people have successfully unwarped the needles it always occurs again. This is a very common Fuego problem.

The most permanent solution is to replace the needles. Someone I know got an instrument place to change them (to maintain the correct placing of the needle) and the needles used were VL Commodore ones.

Hi Renaulturbo

I replaced my needles with ones from a renault 16
jaeger instruments. The only down fall is that they are white in colour. But the condition of my fuego is nothing to write home about so it was good to have instruments that worked. they are easy to replace, just my sure you put the new needles on in exactly the same place as the old ones.

Regards COL.
