S16 won’t start

So the S16 I bought won’t start, it has been sat for years and sounds like the lifters have bled down.
any tips on getting the old girl running?

its got new plugs, fuel filter, air filter is new and the fuel pump is delivering fuel up to the engine.

Check that the fuel pump is working, hard wire it to test this and also get the fuel flowing without the need to crank the engine. If it is working you will hear it running. I've used this approach on 2 MI16s that weren't running.

Thanks Graham. I pulled it out and bench tested it, it runs well and there is file at the engine when it cranks. The coils look at bit rusty but I wouldn’t have thought they would all be knackered surely?
